Detection of Busy Tone in Analog Trunk group

Post by arhatzad »

Hi all,

I am using OXO R4.1 and i have a problem with analog trunk groups.

Whenever OXO gets an incoming call in an Analog trunk group hears the welcome message, the line will be placed on hold and the internal phones of the specified hunting group, are ringing. So far, so good.

Now, if the user hung's up the phone when he is on hold, the internal phones of the specified hunting group they will continue ringing till someone answer's the call!

This is happening only in one of the analog trunk group which the ISP (HOL) is different (I have 4 analog trunks. 3 in ISP OTE (Greece) and one in ISP HOL(Greece))

I have tried polarity reversal and busy tone detection options with no success. As I understand the system doesn't recognize the busy tone in the specific analog trunk.

Does anyone have the same problem or knows the solution?

It is not possible to define in OXO busy tone detection for two providers if tones are different (parameters are system wide --> you cannot set up different values for different trunks). If you have problems with both most probably your parameters are incorrect.
Search this forum as there are many posts regarding busy tone detection.

No I don't have problem with both. Just with one of them (ISP HOL).

I tried to connect also a GSM gateway in order to check if there is any problem with ISP's line, and OXO did exactly the same thing. It can't understand when the user Hung up the line.

Hi

Probably you have difference in the busy tone between both providers. The configuration of busy tone is for the system, so the both providers must have exactly the same busy tone (frequency, cadence) to work fine. You may use polarity reversal, but your providers need to send polarity reversal to OXO.
