Omnivista 4760 with SQL Server

Post by elias_ruiz_diaz »

Well, first at all hi everyone.

So, I have an OXO R8.2, and a 4760 installed, and it works perfect. My question is, can i "integrate" the omnivista with the SQL server of the company, cause' it's going to be easier to make reports from de SQL.. That is what my customer asks for.. Please if you have the response, I will be so glad!

Regards!

Without knowledge SQL
Try a report schedule it with txt export
And import data in you customer SQL

With knowledge SQL
Well you need time to get the knowledge of accounting stucture
With accounting tree
With list of phone entries (chargeable entity)
With ticket not allocated to phone but to the entityid

Hence you will never find table with
Phone call description and user name , user phone
A join SQL queery is needed

In addition to this time, you will have to learn how to smart connect, send smart queery and disconnect
If you connect when 4760 is performing its own backup you fail
If you open SQL connection and never disconnect, you may lock table

Connection to SQL is easy
It is a sybase db
You need to get sybase driver for microsoft SQL connector
Then excel can use such connector to do direct queery

Anyway if your. Ustommer has its own SQL server, he should know a basic of all SQL server or look at internet ressource for connecting to each kind of db

Usual login is dba
Password is the same as ldap , adminnmc initial password at installation of 4760

Note that if you have alcatel tech com
There is some on accounting debugging and global 4760 troubleshooting that explain accounting
