Hi guys this is my first post, so hopfully Ive not buggered up by posting in the wrong spot.

Anyway.

I need to know how to log out of a 4028 Handset, so I can log back in with another extention..

Ive googled, and can find plenty of manuals fo the handset, but not what Im looking for,

Some options:
- remove MAC address of the set in configuration (mgr, Omnivista..)
- by prefix dialling: set in/out of service

is there no way to log out from the handset.???

what if I want to set up a Hot desk???

You can use desk sharing from R 10.1

I was in the same boat and unable to find a way to logout from the handset: thankfully the old office sysadmin came to the rescue.

To deactivate an extension:

At the handset type: *82, you will then be asked for a password, which by default is 0000.

Also before you deactivate a handset I would take down the extension number (on phone go to info and hit the down arrow key).

Then to put on another handset:

Press any button and the voice will prompt to “Enter Extension”, so enter the extension number, and password…

That’s it…

yeah but in the past when I have done work on Ausie systems that was the one I used.
