AutoAttendant/Voice Mail problem

We are using an OXE system which I'm being trained on. We are running 10.0 system software. My problem is a little esoteric so let me explain: When a caller calls from an external line they reach our AA and everything is fine. They are given several options or they can press 1 to then dial an extension and the call is routed correctly. However, if the call is not picked up and the caller tries to return to the AA by pressing 0 they get this message "sorry, this number cannot be reached, please try again later" and then given the choice of pressing either 8 to leave a message or 9 to try another extension. Pressing 0 just starts the loop all over again. Pressing * hangs up.

Now we go to scenario 2: Again, an external call comes in, but this time the extension is set to Imm. Forward to VM. The caller starts to hear the VM message and presses 0 to return to the attendant and like the first case gets the message "sorry, this number cannot be reached, please try again later" but then it returns to the AA like it should.

This only happens on external calls. Calls made on the internal system work just fine.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
