Hi,
I would like to know from where I can get detailed explanation of the t3 tracing so I can follow exactly what the values mean.
My problem is I am experiencing intermitent dropped calls between OXE and OXO connected with H323 trunk. You would be speaking and suddenly the line drops. But this doesn't happen always. It happens only a few times. SO I am running a t3 trace on the voip card of the oxe to check what is happening but cannot find any wrong content.
What I can notice is that if I release a call from oxo side the t3 states TEMPORARY FAILURE and when I release a call from oxe side it says NORMAL CALL CLEARING. I don't know if this is normal or if it indicates something wrong.
Below are 2 calls - first one released normally from oxe side - second one released from oxo side.
Apart from these type of traces I am not finding anything else, even when I would know that there have been dropped calls.
So if I can have a detailed explanation of t3 tracing it would help me understand more what is really going on.
Thanks and Regards
Wallace

Explanation of T3 traces
Re: Explanation of T3 traces
As I pointed out many times - t3 won't help you to identify complicated problems with H.323.
Basically it shows only H.225 messages. But in H.323 you have H.245, RTP, RAS etc messages.
The best way is to run tcpdump or wireshark traces (on OXO side's port or configure mirror port for OXE CS and GD ports) and analyze them with the latest wireshark program.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
