Win7 with OMC R710xxx Hiding 'Customer Database' folder ???

Post by MTConsulting_DUP »

Guys,

Have found Win7 hides the Customer Database folder and wont let you manually copy or add back ups to it?? You can see them when you run OMC off line and they are there, you just cant navigate down the folders to find them off C drive? Has anyone found this or found a way round it? I have 3 Win7 machines and ALL are doing it!! :? The .ini & profile folders are there but the Cust Database is hidden?

Hello MTConsulting,

which OMC version did you use ? The only (and first) compatible OMC version with Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit) is OMC 711/51.1a available with OXO patch version 710/055.001. Check on Alcatel Lucent BPWS to download this version.
Unfortunately I haven't yet any Win7 PC so I can't test it.

Maurice

Hi Maurice,

Have tried the previous two versions, R6 versions dont do it??...Only R7's!

Have downloaded the .51 the other day, will try and let you know. WIN7 is very good so far, have been using it for 13months now, it just gets better.

Hi.
If you still suffer this problem.
Here is the answer for 64 bit Win7
C:\Users\<yourpcname>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\PCXTools\OMC\RXXX_XX.XX\targprod\<countrycode>110\customer.dbs
for 32bit Win7
C:\Users\<yourpcname>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\PCXTools\OMC\RXXX_XX.XX\targprod\<countrycode>110\customer.dbs

Only a consideration: <yourpcname> is <yourusername>.

Thank you Giovanni for the advice.
Is there a tool available to read the configuration of the telephone system in plain text?

Best,
Stephan
