IP phone bandwidth

Are you having any trouble while you are configuring a 4400 on site ? Share it with us, maybe someone will have the solution !

Hi all,,

I'm having 60 IP phones connected on a remote location with no media gateway. The calls are made using another remote gateway. Now when we make such calls we are finding that the data transferred from phone to media gateway is from 1MB to 6MB!!!! we tried putting the voice compression on phones as with and without and still the same behaviour. The bandwidth between these two lacations is 30MBps.. is this enough??

What do you think could be the issue.??

Please help me out on this.

There is BP_Bandwidth tool available on BPWS.
Check with your codec/packetization and the maximum of simultaneous calls.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
