Questions need answer for ACS 8460

Post by Sam2009 »

Hi all
I have some questions about ACS 8460 and need right answer, please help me

1- Are some audio port reserved when a conferance is scheduled?

2- Can 8460 ACS server be connected to any PBX ( IP & TDM)?

3-could these sets (IP touch 4068 - 4038 - 4028 ) allow access to 8460 ACS using graphical interface?

4-Is it possible to record an audio file from end-user PC and upload it in 8670 AMDS to creat a new message to broadcast?

Thx

You can manage whether to reserve audioports or not by configuration parameter.

Yes it can be connected to any vendor's PABX by SIP.

All interactions are done via Web-interface on a PC.

Yes it is possible.

Yes they may can, but you would need ICS in order to have the "presentation server" working for them.

I've used TW on a 4068 and 4038, and you can use it to send instant messages to your contacts and manage a conference. It doesn't have the same usability as the PC client, but is an additional option.

Any vendor's any type as long as it supports SIP.

You work with AMDS via browser. So all required SW components are loaded during initial setup of a client on a PC.

I am not familiar with ICS Vocal homepage. May be cavagnaro can answer this question?

Not really clear which options you mean. All features in MTW and AMDS are licensed. If you create an user you assign to him certain options - like conference, video, ecording etc.

For what would you need to access AMDS from Voice Mail? Local Voicemail is just another voice Mail server but stored on the ICS server and not on a mail server perse.
