Update automatically Date/Time on a Unix 4400

Post by agiftel »

Hi all, I have a weird question; as you know on Unix 3.2 version there is not NTP service to get time syncronisation. I have both CPUs with time sync hardware component out of order and then I thought about a way to sync time from another machine.
What I am thinking about is a way to sync time/date from a Windows machine: something like a batch file that connects on Unix machine ( via Telnet ) and then it executes a date command. What I am not able to do is how to pass to date command the current time/date var of windows machine.
Can you help me ?
I know that is possible but i am not really know how.
Thanks
