Yes, its possible...Please find the configuration below. I have created a L2 and L3 Vlan with IP 192.168.10.1. The VIP that i have given is 192.168.10.3
Test-Switch-> vrrp 1 10
Test-Switch-> vrrp 1 10 address 192.168.10.3
Test-Switch-> vrrp 1 10 enable
Test-Switch->
THU MAY 19 09:19:04 : VRRP (77) info message:
+++ Virtual router VRID=1 VLAN=10 enabled

VRRP is possible on the OS6850. Please see attachment for a simple example config. Also check the network configuration manual. It has some extensive examples and explanations.
