When I turn off my omniswitch all its configuration are dele

Hello and thanks for your time.
I'm working with a 6400 and I its problem is that when I turn of the omniswitch all the vlans that I had configured on it are gone at the next turned on.
I don't think that this is the normal behavior on the omniswitch, But do I have to save my configuration before exit or something like that?
All the configuration that I've made it's by console port.

Please excuse me if this is a very obvious question, but I'm what is called a novice on this area. Thank you very much for your time...
