snmp issue

Post by ram-0000 »

Hi all,

I have some problems with snmp : The 6850 switch seems to not respond

ping 6850 ==> OK
traceroute 6850 ==> OK
snmpget -v 1 -c public 6850 system.sysDescr.0 ==> packets are output but no input (seen with snoop on the sender host)

Here is my conf

Code: Select all

cor1qipsw01# show configuration snapshot snmp
! SNMP :
snmp security no security
snmp community map "public" user "snmpuser" on
snmp station 10.130.43.132 162 "snmpuser" v1 enable

Code: Select all

cor1qipsw01# show user snmpuser
User name = snmpuser,
  Password expiration     = None,
  Password allow to be modified date = None,
  Account lockout     = None,
  Password bad attempts     = 0,
  Read Only for domains = All ,
  Read/Write for domains  = None,
  Snmp allowed     = YES,
  Snmp authentication     = SHA,
  Snmp encryption     = DES,
  Console-Only    = Disabled

Code: Select all

cor1qipsw01# show snmp community map
Community mode : enabled

Try to delete the User snmpuser and use this Command to add a account without authentication
"user snmpuser password ******** no auth"
