hs on incoming calls trunk group

hi all,

i have a customer using Release 5.1.2 ( latest patch) and crystal hardware.

recently customer have bought 10 trunk lines from a vendor which are on optical fiber, after connecting these lines on MDF the trunk group is hs and its state isnt changing. As this trunk group is used for incoming calls therefore sometimes automated attendant is heard and sometimes not.

i've changed " Battery Inversion Masking " to False but still the problem persists.

CRC4 check? Try to change it.

Right question=half of answer.
Type of external line - digital (R2, ISDN) or analog.
If analog - NDDI or NDDI-2 boards.
hs state from the begining? After board reset - external line works or "hs" after first call?
Caller ID feature used or not?

type of external line = analog ( NDDI-2 ),
from the beginning and remains after reset ( hard/ soft )hs ,
caller ID feature is used but it's also not working.

Check cable from NDDI to MDF (must be used first 8 pairs from cable).
Connect analog phone to MDF (tp PBX side) - do you have dial tone from PTT?

the line ( tone ) is available on MDF and it was working properly previously on analog copper lines but after connecting analog lines which are on optical fiber ( bought for better quality ) the problem was raised, one more thing sometimes automated attendant is working and sometimes not.

Check - external services/ trunk COS - present or not in your trunk COS - default transmission=yes.

i've assigned trunk COS 1 to that trunks and default transmission is already true.
