And what does producer of 'Repartee 7.49' says? It OS/2 so you could search about OS/2, 1st Alcate's IVR was 4625 on OS/2 ! it was some nice GUI from IBM, but it lose any market when Win'95 came into the game. Decide if it's a OS/2 level of security to pass or a ''Repartee 7.49' VM level. Then ask any vendor / parter how to do that. Note: if it has a hard drive you could risk (as you probably cant shut it down by any chance ???) this: shutdown by AC plug, find hard drive, do a exact 1:1 copy by Acronis or Ghost, and viola, you have a backup !
Then cross your fingers, it should go back into service when powered on.
NOTE: I remember when we did upgrade from some R2.1 with external ALU VM (it was a 486 with 2 analog cards, 4 ports) in white casing, connected to 4400 as an external vm (VPM? VPS?) it stopped to work, OXE with R8.01 had a bug with sending AA01 not A01 (IIRC), and we managed to get it fixed in OXE R8.01 sw. So your VM could still be used.
And i did some homework for you:
1st for stock of voice boards you need to search dialogic boards (ISA type, for example: Dialogic D/41D or CTI VB-PC-12)
2nd AVST has bought the ActiceVoice and it still supports the Repartee
http://www.avst.com/products/repartee.asp just find local AVST parter, make picture of your parallel-port key and write nice e-mail to AVST !
BTW: in the old days, the password should be in some obfuscated location on harddrive i whould just delete this file, or ask nice guy with another repartee VM to chage pass to 'anything', then find on his harddrive for the most recently changed files, compare dates of your files and copy some files to your voicemail. Please note that at no time I will provide you with OXE/4400 nor AOS releases.

You will need to do homework by your self.
