OTUC link keeps going out of service

Post by Mr T »

OTUC gurus, I need some assistance.

I have ICS 6.1 with local storage connected to one PCX release 9.1. When I dial the voicemail number of OTUC I get "network link out of service". If I restart the msd service, everything starts working, I can call OTUC numbers, leave voicemails, mwi works, all good. But 10 minutes later I call the number of OTUC and I get the "network link out of service". All my external voicemail numbers show registered with OTUC. In OTUC, CSTA link shows up and all icsd services are up and running.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Cav,

Looks like I'm not getting a response from OTUC in the bad call trace. I attached two traces, a good call after resetting the msd service, and then a bad call once I can no longer call OTUC.

Well for what I can see by some reason OXE is not able to connect to OTUC. When this happens if you launch a sipregister command what do you see? Are you able to connect to OTUC? Can you post the OXE SIP timers?

What do you mean am I able to connect to OTUC? I can ping OTUC just fine from the PCX and everywhere on the network, they are on the same subnet/vlan, plugged into the same switch. I have checked and I see absolutely no network issues on either the PCX or OTUC.

On SIP Proxy please try increasing SIP Timer T2 to 8000

can you also post how the EVM are created on OTUC?

Thanks for the reply Cav and sorry for late reply, but I got it solved. It ended up being the firewall/iptables. I installed the fax server on the ICS box, unbeknownst to me this turns the iptables back on??? After turning iptables off, life is good.

You live you learn.
