Multicasting in 6400 & 6855 & 9700

Hi All,

We are planning to build the following topology,

MC_server<--->9700E<--->6855<--->6400<--->Client

i have not apply my configuration on routers yet. However, i know that i will have some problems.

I will enable PIM-SM on the network. Since 6400 does not support PIM-SM, i want to learn that if the client can send IGMP request until 6855 to get the requested stream.

PS: Static routing enabled between 6400 and 6855.

hello

I think it will not work.
better is to use only routing on 6855 and configure querier on 6855 and IPMS on 6400.

if you want to make it more simple you can use dvmrp.
