REQ: My IP Phone Desktop for Linux?

Post by overprotected »

Hello,

I am working in an organization which is using Alcatel PBX 4400 i guess, and My IP Phone Desktop as a client for telephony.
We are now going Open Source and our end users will be using Ubuntu Desktop as an open source alternative to microsoft operating system.

The problem we're facing right now is how can we move "My IP Phone Desktop" and "CC Supervision" to Ubuntu?
is there any linux release available for these softwares? or any other way to use the above mentioned application smoothly in Ubuntu desktop?

Early response will be highly appreciated,

Thanks,
Umair A. Shahid

As for CCD (clients) environment there is (faint, but still) light in some csta / tsapi interface, but for classic business environment like:
-TAPI
-CCS for supervisors
-Omnivista (it's a java, but only windows-based java!) (4715 works under old windows, so it works under wine too)
-MyTeamwork / My ICC / OTUC
there are none linux clients (nor a macos clients). well, you could *TRY* with wine. But it not supported by ALU.

AFE protocol (used by CCS) is single vendor only, and it's not available for any ALPP partner.
Ask your Alu parter for an official ALU's statement what OS in what version is supported.

You could still configure your call center by mgr, and fetch tickets for reports by ftp...
But it's a hard work compared to ccs.
