4038 and 802.1x with TLS / wrong login identifier

Post by goofy4068 »

Hello,

I would like to activate 802.1x on the 4038 (OXE Rel. 9.1). Corresponding to the description, I set the "login:" to ALCIPT and the "MAC@" field is unchecked in the 802.1x menu on the phone. I use the ALU Certificates and a Windows IAS (the certification works!). So the problem is, that the login is always login+MAC@ (ALCIPT00:80:....)! The description states, that the login should be ALCIPT if the "MAC@" is unchecked! The reason for the login is, that I use the login as a "second stage" to identify the phone so that only phones with the rigth login could log in (so I don't really use ALCIPT at the customers site :) ). Is this a bug, or did I a wrong config on the 4038?

knd regards,
