ARS tones

Post by sinyo »

Hi all,

Happy new year!

I have configured OXO with ARS (prefix 9) to dial external number (PSTN).
But, the users do not satisfied with dial tone given after they press ARS prefix. The dial tone after pressing ARS prefix is same with dial tone before pressing ARS prefix.
How to change ARS dial tone (the tone after press ARS prefix)?

Thank you.

hallp sinyo
happy new year too
regarding the configutation of ARS, I propose you to configure the ARS without the code ( prefix) and your costumer will dial all the number "like at home". You must to put the Main trunk group in internal numbering plan (ex: 88,88,0 drop,no) and all the prefixes used for external destinations like secondary trunk group( ex: oo,oo,ARS,keep,no- next 01,01,ARS,keep,no.......and so on), next you will configure the ARS very easy ( ex: public,prefix oo,range ----,substitut oo, trunk group 1- for international calls ) and so on for all the prefixes defined in the internal numbering plan. Do not forget to configure also the trunk grup from ARS before.
If you don"t understand very well my explanations i can sent to you a print screen with Internal numbering plan and the ARS, please give your email adress

Changing ARS tone to resemble tone seizure tone:
1. PM5/OMC -> System Miscellaneous -> Memory Read Write -> Other Labels -> I_TONES (0 for new releases)
2. Note "Address" (smth like : 087xxxxx ex: 087ECE54, 08751FF8)
3. Close Other Labes, open Numeric Addresses
4. -- In Address field put the above address in hexa on which you add 020 (offset) ex :
if address is 087ECE54, in that field you enter : 087ECE74

-- length 32
-- Read
5. If you are on the right spot smth like this should apear on your screen : 04 02 03 FF 03 02 07 FF --->for my country
6.Modify it like this : 01 01 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF --->this is like normal dial tone
7. modify, write
8. warm reset your system

@netinstal: Please remove alcatelunleashed.com link from your website from partner location---> you do not have any partnership relationships with alcatelunleashed.com . Use useful links or smth like that instead of our partners when referring to alcatelunleashed. Otherwise Frank could be forced to take legal actions. Thank you for understanding.

If you go external lines - protocols and select modify for isdn trunks. In here you can select parameters and there is a tick box for simulete ringback tone for outgoing calls

What should I comment about this? Follow the other steps I described and it should be ok (in numeric addresses enter 0892CD64 with length 32--:read and modify as described above).
