IP Touch 4038 with 40 Keys Module

Post by sonicpelican »

Hi Guys, some help if you can.

IP Touch 4038 with 40 Keys Module
OXe 4400 Rel 9

The IP Touch Phone with the 40 Keys Module constantly reboots when the module is plugged in. If you unplug the module the phone boots and stays up.

I have 3 other phones on the same system, same configuration, that work fine.

I have deleted and recreated the extension, I have replaced the phone, I have tried one of the modules off a working set, I have de-registered one of the working phones and registered it with the problem extension number. However, this one extension continues to reboot if the module is plugged in. Interestingly, if I now create another extension and add the 40 Keys Module the new extension exhibits the same problems.

Any Ideas??

Cheers,
Rod.

Is there PoE in use?
May be this is power problems...

Hi pilotrus, I don't believe PoE is a problem as the other 3 handsets with the 40 key Module are operating off the same switch. We have also tried different ports on the switch and have also connected the handset directly to the switch by-passing the horizontal floor cabling.

Cheers,
Rod.

Did you try to change the 40 keys module from a phone that works to this phone ?
Did you try to place this phone on another port of a phone that works, with another 40 keys modules ?
Did you look at the defence mechanism to see why the phone reboots ?

Hi. Remember that AOM must be plug in before pluging in the phone set to the network. Regards.

Here is the offending bit from defence on the handset:

-006 000-00:00:32.620 reset__: [10] ua3g_tsc_reset_message (551 ua3_tsc.c)
-005 000-00:00:02.530 code: 4.10.62 data: 4.10.62 sysdate:
-004 000-00:00:31.120 code: 4.10.62 data: 4.10.62 sysdate: 08/02/2010-12:33:55

This repeats as the set continually resets.

Guys, problem appears to have been resolved with a "fichges force_recover_dico" followed by a double "bascul". Suspect I may have had database corruption. Should now only need to do a Mastercopy to the stand-by CPU.

Thanks all,
Rod.
