SIP to Faxination server

Post by pretzellogic45 »

My customer has a PCX running g1.503.29. They recently bought a product called Faxination which basically adds fax capability to MS Exchange, and allows the user to send and receive faxes from Outlook. Each user has a fax number, reachable internally and via a DID. The fax numbers are configured in the Faxination software and not the PCX. My issue is that I can successfully make calls internally, and the user receives an email notification in Outlook, but external incoming calls reach the Faxination server but then are canceled by the PCX after one second, as seen in my Wireshark traces. Customer uses 8 digit extensions beginning 8010xxxx. Faxes are in the 400 range. My configuration is as follows:

Create speed dial 801004 which calls 80108900, which as an ARS prof. trk seize prefix, which is pointed to logical discriminator 7. In the entity of both the user and the incoming trunk group I pointed logical discriminator 7 to real discriminator 7. In the rules of discriminator 7 I created ranges from 0 to 9, and in each one used area 4 and pointed it to ARS route 7. In ARS route 7 I point the call to the SIP trunk group, and then of course to the external SIP gateway which contains the IP address of the Faxination server.

I made sure that all appropriate classes of service are set to allow numbering area 4. I created a numbering command table with the entry A801004I and pointed it to ext gateway 1. I also managed the network routing table for remote network 7 with ARS route 7 and ABC-F. The SIP TG is also set for ABC-F. An internal call either from a fax machine or a phone works, but external calls do not. Anyone setup this particular product for use with the PCX and have any ideas?
