SIP trunk remain status HS

Post by freedom »

I have an OXE R9.0 with 2 SIP trunks.
Both trunks are working fine.
Now I have created a third SIP trunk, restarted sipmotor proces etc, but this new trunk remains in HS state!

Already tried to delete the SIP accesses and recreate them, but still the same result... all channels in HS.

Does anyone have some suggestions???

Hi. This TG is attached to a SIP External Gateway. Check your Remote Network configuration. Post here incvisu output. check for incident 5814, 5815 and 5816. Regards.

Found it!

I found it!

Forgot to first connect the trunkgroup to an external gateway like Tincho said.
After connecting the trunk to a new sip external gateway, all channels became free.

Thanks!

Hi. Good to know. However, now using release 9.0 I have some problems after CPU shutdown. Some TG are not put in service. Regards.

Hello,

I also encountered the same problem wherein "killall sipmotor" and "dhs3_init -R SIPMOTOR" does not work to put in service SIP Trunks. The OXE needs to be rebooted in order for the SIP Trunks to be in service. I escalated this to ALU Tech Support and was advised to update to patch H1.301.36. Since H1.301.36 is no longer on the BPWS, I suggest that H1.301.37 be used to correct this problem. I have updated one of our clients' OXE which encountered this problem and it was resolved. Up to this date, there is no reports of the said problem being encountered. I hope this could help.

We installed patch 36 as recommended when it was available.
The result is that we could not call inter-domain anymore.
IP <--> Digital stopped functioning too.

We had to roll back to patch 30, and asked for a hotfix only.

Hi Frank,

I'm sorry but I forgot to note that all SIP users and SIP Trunks should be deleted and then re-created for it to work. I also encountered the problem that you have mentioned when I updated to patch 36.

Ha no, we're not doing that.. R&D needs to fix it. Probably in the next patch..
