Problem: Report truncated to requested size

Post by sitwaertsfahrer »

Hi All

hope somebody can help me out with my problem.

I am creating reports, which I have to export to an other application so that the departments can be billed for there phonecosts. So the creating of the export works with no problems, but when I export the generated report to a *.xls or a *.txt it somehow truncates my report. Not all calls/costs are in the list and then the total cost isn't the same as the invoiced costs by the phone company.

Can somebody please tell me how to stop my reports beeing truncated.

Thank you very much.

btw: I'm using Alcatel Omnivista 3.2

Kind regards

simon

There is an option for file size for each type of file you can save the reports as (xls,pdf,ect..).

I have not done this in awhile, can't remember where the option is.

Anyone know where to set the file size limits on 4760?

What if I need more than max pages limit? My reports (pdf) are up to 700 pages.

Thanx.

Anyone know what to do if the maximum pages is already set and that it still truncates, for example XLS only allow '1000' in our version R4. This limit is probably there so that all the data including all text/pie chart and such would not expand beyond the 65k line limit?

I could of course export it to a text file and then import it into Excel. Is this the preferred way?
