MTCL Account Problem

Hi to all.
After a migration, from Rel 8 to Rel 9, every time I try to get in to the system (via telnet, serial or modem) and use de mtcl account, I always get wrong password answers fron teh OXE.

After many tries to get to the system, finally it give me access. If I disconnet (close the sesion), it star all over again. I have to try many many times to get in into the system with the mtcl account.

There is no security activated (I,m extremely sure). I have deactive firewall and anty virus of my pc (for telnet case) and it is the same behavior, also it happen from any PC on the LAN.

I also have monitor the telnet sesion with wireshark and the only difference between the traces (when I get in and when can not get in) is the response from the OXE when respond wrong password.

I have conected directly to the lan port of the OXE (with a cross cable) and still I have to try a lots of time to get to the system.
I can get without any trouble avery time Y want with the client account.

Any ideas, will be helpfull.

After some tries of bad password the OXE reject the login also if you
enter the correct password, you have to wait a while before login
again. Maybe a server or a script try to login frequently with a wrong
password for mtcl account? Check the /var/log/messages to see what happens.
The system should also generate an incident after to many wrong logins.

Hi root, you were right, the client was testing and USER SIP Software and this applications continuosly was trying to get to the system with mtcl account and the password it was introducing was wrong and causes mcl account blocked. We discover this aplication, uninstalit and solve the trouble.

I almost kill him.
