Activation of CPU Alarms in OXE - Common Hardware

Post by kisanbhai »

Hello All,

I wanted to have the CPU Alarms ( coupler going OS ) to be activated in OXE - Common hardware.
I read in the documentation that if the Call server is Common Hardware, the alarms are not extended to RMA. So as per the documentation, i checked it on GD ( Pin-3 and 6) with following setting :-

Incident - 2042
RMA Action - none
Alarm Action :- Alarm UP

But even then, I did not succeed.
Can anyone suggest.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Vad,
first of all thank you very much for the information.

No, we don't have this card.

Dear Vad,

As I already confirm that there is no AFU card in the system. Could you please let me know if we install the AFU card, is there any management ( if yes, what is it) to be done or alarm activation is automatic, becasue I did not find any management for the same.

Thanks in advance.

I think you cannot use this alarm for some incident - only if GD out of services.
Manage alarm set - incident filter decleare table Id. System/alarm set - manage dir number for this table Id.
In case of alarm - you will have specific ring, "alarm" displayed and red LED (on set like 4020, 4035).
