OXE over ADSL Connection?

Post by azcot »

Good day guys.
I have a small problem.

The scenario is:
I have a pc (server in my house) having an adsl connection with linksys modem (port forwarding enabled) + dyndns account + vmware with release 8 oxe.

The problem:
The thing is which ports SIP is/are using in my OXE?

The mission:
I want to connect xlite (sip softphone) remotely(anywhere) into my vmware PABX.
So that I can open these ports in my linksys modem (port forward).

I already forward port 23 for telnet to the OXE in my modem but when I try to access it remotely, nothing happens. But telnet(ting) the Serial port(named pipe) works, but of course I want things a little smoother.

TIA

a) wrong forum
b) sip trunking is discussed 5 times a month
c) VPN is needed, as is suggested in 99% of questions and as it's in the Documentation.

I'm talking about OXE in virtual machine here (vmware release). What I can see now is that my modem port forwards only my host machine (which is 192.168.1.10) and not my vmwared OXE (192.168.1.100) inside it. So bridging between the two is not working when it comes to my modem side, right?

Tnx for the comment anyway.

Check vmware documentation to see how to configure the ethernet cards and which mode to select.
