8.01 works for (not only) me out-of-the-box.

Something wrong with your pc/pcinstaller/downloaded software.
Tried to check md5sum of your release? Download release "on cd" and see if checksum is correct.
Also check if you have anykind of firewall/antivirus software running on your PC.

BTW: why do you include ~900 KB of BMP file when you could just copy and paste the text from your terminal? huh.

tried that md5 is ok but no joy, what guest operating system are you using when you create the VM?

You can try Mandrake or Another Linux Kernel. Mandrake always work for me

Hi all,

anyone tried vmware with g.1503 yet?
i got problem after i finish doing the whole installation from the beginning (file -> new -> virtual machine and with pc installer on).
i'm setting these parameters:

------------------------------------------------------
Alcatel Pc installer 2.23
linux + call handing

Installation parametres
call server type: appilance server
call handling version: g1503
country: ii (indonesia)
instalation type: standard
network type: company network
network interface: (my vmware1 adapter) 1.1.1.14
ip address: 1.1.1.15 (automatic)
ethernet address: mac address of virtual machine (shown when i start the new virtual server)
---------------------------------------------------

i can finish my installation and pc installer send pop up that installation is success.
but when i want to start the oxe vmware for the first time.
"GRUB Loading stage2. output on the serial line..
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel."
then it just stuck, nothing happen anymore.

i also have add serial device,
using named pipe: \\.\pipe\com_1
this end is the server
the other end is a virtual machine
and i do turn on yield cpu on poll too.

anyway should i use appilance server or blade server for call server type at pc installer?
i think i have try blade server but i never succeed on the pc installer with it.

please do advice :)
Thank's

Best Regards,
johnson

To load software with Blade Server selection, don't add a SCSI virtual disk.
It's work fine with an IDE virtual disk.

No problem with R8.0, R8.01 and more..
