I was on a customer site today, and here is what they wanted:
- When you call a set, they don't want to hear the "press 5 to leave a message" or "press 8 for call back".
- If all the multilines of a set are busy, it should go to voice mail
This is what I did, and it works:
In the Telephone Feature Class of Service, under suffixe, CALL BACK has to be turned OFF. You might want to make some test with VOICEMAIL DEPOSIT also (ON seems to be okay)
In the user multiline properties, turn off (No) the OVERFLOW ON BUSY
In the user dynamic state, turn on (Yes) Overflow on BUSY
And you should be set !
Set busy goes to voicemail (no message for prefixes to dial)

Frank - I was able to fix this for a test extension simply by changing the Dynamic State User setting as you suggest. But I could not figure out which setting in the Class of Service to change - please give the exact name of the CoS item. But is it necessary to manually change the DSU setting on every separate extension, or is there way to change this globally?

I have a similar problem. If both multilines are busy, and an external caller dials the DID, it goes to voice mail. However, if they first dial the attendant (4035), and she tries to transfer, it just says busy - doesn't go to voicemail. How do I get it to go to vm when transfering from the attendant?
Weird.....
