Extra Discount Request (EDR) and Actis user ID prefixes

Post by ToreB »

There seem to be a problem when filing an EDR on the Alcatel Business Partner web site using a SAP file form Actis.
First, the right catalogue and market must be set in the Business Partner web user profile. Also, the Actis user ID prefix must correspond to the market you're creating an order for.
In my case, the web order system will not accept my Actis ID (NO xx xx) when trying to file an non-norwegian system.
That's a pity when we serve Danish and Sweden markets...

The workaround is to have a second (and for me, three) version of Actis installed, with the corresponding user prefixes.
Actis user prefixes are by the way handled by your local Alcatel representatives.

I will try to get Alcatel to remove the silly Actis prefix test in the ABPWS order system.

Hello,
If I undestand all of your post, you dont really have a problem with this.
The prefixes and market limitations are only created to have a control of markets were you work from AL.
On your distribution contract you have specified the markets were you can (legaly) sell; and in case of EDR is supossed that AL make an extra control of it, as made on our market (spain).
You can have an Actis to multi market, but you cant sell any offer for the others.

Bye
