I have used this several times after upgrading from 4760 R2.1 to R3.0 There is a known bug that when R3.0 does a database defrag, it does not carry out a re-index of the database after the defrag (the usual problem is that the scheduler is not working, although the scheduler service is started.) This was fixed in R3.1, but the Install Procedures for both R3.1 & R3.2 suggest that you do not schedule a defrag, just carry one out after the upgrade from R2.1.
