hi

i am having a wm1 shelf with above version.
the problem:the telnet and console login is very slow.

the customer usually shuts down the pabx using shutdown -h command at the end of work each day. the reason being the site is entirely dependant on generator and no utility power supply.

let me know what could be the problem? your help is much appreciated.

what do you mean by the console is very slow..? you mean to shut down or to react when you type something ?

at first check "idle" command - you will see idle time , must be 80 - 100%.
If 0% - you have a problem.
Next step - "ps" command - you will see process and time. Repeat "ps" command, may be you will find process with increased time.
f.e. after first ps - internal_tax was with time 12:00, after second ps - internal_tax with time 12:30.
You have problem with this process. Depends of process you can kill, or reinitialize process or restart system.

i have restarted the system, still it is slow.

if i give a command from console(i.e. swinst), it takes some seconds before it asks for assword.

i will try ps and idle when i go to customer next.
