Hello Team,
I have read the datasheet of VNA to check if it meets my needs for a large number of users but I could not figure it out. I understand that OmniPCX server maximum users capacity is 100k users and it can integrate with VNA for E911 requirements however I could not verify if VNA will support 100k users as well by using the same VNA server or If I need multiple servers. So my questions are here
1. If I get the OmniPCX enterprise for 100k users and I need E911 service, would one VNA server suffice? if not, what is the solution?
2. If I must use multiple VNA servers for E911 service for 100k users, will these multiple servers be one cluster (one single image) like the OmniPCX Enterprise one image (multiple servers) for 100k users? if not, please clarify how can I use VNA for 100k users
3. Is 3rd party software required for management or connection or anything else?
Also, I have been trying to understand how will the VNA server handle the ELIN and PSAP but I could not get any clue. All I get from VNA data sheet is "Emergency call (911/112) management for on-site safety providing location information (per site/building/floor/area) for fixed phones, mobile handsets and softphone applications". Please help me understand how does the VNA handle the ELIN and PSAP.
Thanks a lot for the help

The license for VNA is for notifications. You are most likely NOT going to notify 100K Users at one time.
If you use conferences (911 call + listen only with security staff) - VNA supports 120 simultaneous calls for conference (ex: 40 conf with 3 participants, 2 conf with 60 participants). However, 20 participants per conference is max recommended value in order to have good audio
quality.
Same for audio notification. Maximum number of simultaneous calls is 120.
You create a location for each PSAP. Assign users to it.
See attached doc.

Hello Frank
Thanks a lot for the response
We are not planning to use VNA for notifications, we only need it for E911 system and we are not sure if 1 VNA will be enough for our 90k users, I see from the OmniPCX sheet that it can handle up to 100k users it`s good for us but we must have E911 as well. I can`t find enough info in the VNA data sheet if it will meet our requirement of 90k users in one cluster? so I would like to know what is the limitation for user in VNA E911 service, will it be one cluster just like the OmniPCX (one image cluster) or do we need multiple VNA clusters?
If multiple VNA clusters needed, can we connect all of them to one OmniPCX cluster? or do we have to split the users to multiple OmniPCX + VNA cluster due to users limitation? or 3rd party vendor is needed?
Also, regarding the PSAP, I can`t locate the attached document on the post, can you please help me find it

Hello -
OXE with multiple nodes can handle 150K users.
You will need to break down the system. Each VNA server can handle 15K Users.
E911 is really about the PSAP receiving the correct information. Either address, or full location.
If it's full location, in the USA lots of carriers are using Bandwidth.com which handles the ALI Database. See this good explanation here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_911
In your case, for 100K users, I am assuming you have multiple locations.
Maybe have 1 VNA Server per location? Contact ALE Architects, they will be able to tell you. But 100K is really "nothing" to handle. Seems big, but it's nothing for this system.

Hello Frank
Thanks a lot for the explanation. You have answered all the questions I had except for one thing that I am curious about so I would appreciate if you can help me with it as well. Its true that we have multiple locations but our board prefers one cluster for all for security and administration purposes. So my question here, since each VNA Server can handle 15k users, I will be needing at least 6 VNA servers and we are aiming for a single large OmniPCX cluster, can I connect all the VNA servers to this single OmniPCX cluster? or is it 1 VNA server per cluster so I will need to have 6 or more OmniPCX clusters?
Appreciate your input

It really depend what you are going to use VNA for. Are you located in the USA or Canada? Do you have a business partners or is ALE managing it for you?
