Long number issue on the Alcatel 4400 side

Post by DjeSan »

Hello,
I hope you're doing well. Let me explain the situation: we have a short number 8586 that is no longer working.
This short number is supposed to be linked to a long number 0117611XX.
When I call the long number directly, it rings properly. But when I use the short number 8586, it doesn’t work.

I contacted our telecom provider and, after running some tests together, everything seems fine on their side.
I would like to understand what could be wrong on our side, and how to link or redirect the short number to the long number on our Alcatel 4400 R10 system.

I noticed that the PCM2 trunk lines for ARRIVEE 1 are all out of service. Could this explain why incoming calls to 8586 are not working? On the other hand, the trunks for ARRIVEE 2 are either free or busy.

Its not possible to understand your problem from your description so don't expect to get an answer.
Its a mess.
What is short "number 8586" - an extension number or speed dial? What is "long number 0117611XX" - an external number with prefix?
Who is dialling these numbers - internal sbs or external?

 a headache
please be more explicit! as stated by @Alex what 's the exact scenario ?
In youR location are u using SDA as trunktype and trunk_reg_sig = MFR2 without sda transcoding
For your trunks OOS past the output of the command trkstat 0 16

Let me explain the situation: we have a short number, 8586, assigned by the ARCEP, which is used to reach our call center.

We are connected to two different telecom operators, through which customers can reach us.
Initially, the 8586 number was not working. After contacting both operators, I was told that 8586 is routed—on the operator’s side—towards a long number: 011767133, which is then forwarded to our PABX, where it tries to resolve it to an internal short number: 011767199.

After investigation, I found that in our dial plan, there is an existing pilot: C7199.
Navigating to Applications > CCD > Pilot, I confirmed that the pilot C7199 is correctly defined.

However, when I dial 8586 from my mobile phone, the call didn’t even ring at first.

To troubleshoot, I created a user 7199, and in the dynamic states, I configured an immediate call forward to the pilot C7199.
Now, when I dial 8586 from my mobile, the call is properly routed, and I hear the company’s waiting music — but only when calling via one of the two operators.

With the second operator, the call rings, but without the music on hold.

I’m now wondering:

Do I need to create a separate number or user specifically for the second operator?

Or is there something misconfigured in the current setup?

This is the point where I'm currently stuck.

Ok in all my years one of the monst confusing threads i have ever read.

So lets step back to basics when you dial 8586 from your mobile, run a t3 trace and then post the results, so like a translation issue to me but without see so clear results it is hard to see where the issue maybe.

011767133,011767199 same number plan???

For understanding give us info:
- calling number received from OP1 and OP2
- NPD used in TG's (TG/ NPD selector)
- DID translation used in NPD (Called DID Id)
- rules in this DID
