Hi guys,
Actually I've one AP Alcatel Lucent Model 1251 that i can manage through AP List in OV but doesn't shows in "Manage devices" , I've tried to put in untrust status and then changed it to trust, with that action it recovers in "manage devices" but only for a brief time. What could be happening? (Some pics attached)
Device Name: SM_A_A4140_AP_PZ_1
Thanks in advance!!!

Re: AP "Manage Device" Lost - AP Model 1251
Is the AP still powered when it disappear and available to clients?

Re: AP "Manage Device" Lost - AP Model 1251
Yes, the AP never goes down, just dissapears from Manage List Devices
Re: AP "Manage Device" Lost - AP Model 1251
If the AP was earlier an managed device than it has the config. Are you sure that the AP can reach OV vice versa? Is the AP at the same network like before? Try to ping from the console of OV and/or from the console of the AP.
Best regards
Silvio

Re: AP "Manage Device" Lost - AP Model 1251
if you have remote access to the AP via ssh - than check the knowledge of the AP about OV:
support@AP1101-79:C0_HM:~$ getmode
OV
support@AP1101-79:C0_HM:~$ getovinfo
10.20.20.4 (=IP of OV)
Next possible steps:
- Is there a firewall between OV and AP?
- You can test at both sides with tcpdump
- Update the AP to the newest release.
- set factory defaults in the AP and delete the AP in OV. Than connect the AP again to OV.

Hi dear Silvio,
Thanks for answering,
I've checked he commands requested and i got same output.
About steps:
- Is there a firewall between OV and AP? --- Yes, but actually its setted in traffic All allowed.
- You can test at both sides with tcpdump --- in ap side no output
- Update the AP to the newest release. --- Remotely can't update it due a failed operation in device (i think is linked to management dissapear)
- set factory defaults in the AP and delete the AP in OV. Than connect the AP again to OV. ( I tried but issue persist)
Does it could be a HW issue in AP also? (We haven't test with a backup but maybe we're gonna try in next weeks)
Kind Regards!!!
