8085s SIP configuration

Post by djrm »

Greetings everyone, I'm a new owner of some Alcatel/Lucent 8068s phones. I'm tyring to configure them as SIP phones connencted to my FritzBox router.
So far I have entered the menu and switched the configuration to SIP and then used the web interface to set the SIP parameters to match my FritzBox.
I see repeated attempts to register in the router traffic logs. SIP version is 1.20.50

The logs show a repeating sequence:
No.	Time	Source	Destination	Protocol	Length	Info

I'll be trying to connect to my Asterisk server next to see if it works. My other sip phones connect to either server without problems. But I dont know if any of the settings are wrong. What difference does the server type setting make?

I have no instructions for anything about this phone or the web interface, All I know has been gleaned from this forum. Can anybody help with some suggestions or sources of information please?

I see an alternative firmware in the forum, is this suitable for my phone to operate as a SIP phone?

Seems as if I'm nearly there ...
Kind regards, David.

I've just found some documentation here: https://www.aledevice.com/uploads/5f649 ... e%20V1.pdf
but not working as a SIP phone yet ...

This value needed to match the server logon username, now it works:
setting id="SIPGroup1DeviceUri" value="username" override="true"/>
The is actually no need for the http xml file, the settings in the web interface appear to be sufficient now I have the right login values.
