6860E - can't open '/uflash': Permission denied

Post by Crhis »

Hello,

Just upgraded an OS6860E-P48 to 8.8.56.R02_GA. Then USB access no longer worked. When i did "usb enable" it showed all output below. Then when i did "ls /uflash" i got "bash: ls: /uflash: Permission denied". I tried "mount /uflash", but then same "Permission denied" when trying to list /uflash.

This is the same usb that i used to successfully copy the upgrade file originally. I also tried formatting FAT instead of FAT32 - still did not work.

I then upgraded FPGA and U-Boot (over ftp) using the corresponding OS6860+8.8.56.R02FPGA+Upgrade+Kit (fpga_kit_7715) and OS6860-8.8.56.R02-GA-UBOOT.tar.gz. After the upgrades, i still got "Permission denied" when doing "usb enable" and "ls /uflash".

I then downgraded to original software using ftp - 8.7.354.R01 GA. Now i can mount same usb and successfully list contents:

OS6860E-48-> ls -l /uflash
total 259584
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 32768 Aug 24 2018 System Volume Information
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 265752360 Oct 6 2020 Uos.img

Has anyone else seen this problem? I can't upgrade if it breaks usb function.

Thanks

I repeated the upgrade to 8.8.56.R02_GA and now i can list contents of usb.

Never had this happen before. Just glad it's working now.

Thanks
