Is it possibel to configure virtual chassis?

Post by Yannick285 »

Hi everyone,

The company how I work for is recently stepped over to the new OS2260, and now we are looking for the right tricks and solutions to configure the switches correctly and to improve our workflow.

Now my question is; Can I set up a virtual chassis and if yes, how can I do it?
The problem I face is that in the AOS review 5.1 CLI reference guide you can find a whole chapter about VC, but for the most command's I get the output
Chassis ID other than 1 is not supported on this platform
or
Command is not supported on this platform
Also in a video about Omniswitch R8 WebView, I see more sections in the video than I have.

I have also seen in the video about the 6900 "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85bppaxHWac" that you need a license, so if it is possible to make a VC, is maybe that problem.

Look forward to hearing from you people,
Yannick

Meantime the licence at all R8 switches is active per default. The 2260 is not for VC/Stacking - only standalone. The 2360 should be able for VC.
