Line Tone but not able to communicate
Line Tone but not able to communicate
Extensions on UAi 16 card have tones but all extensions we cannot hear/communicate when receiving and sending calls.I have swapped the phone equipments on various extension and the phones are working ok.Someone suggested that the voice chip on the card might have blown.Please help

If first user can call second user (on the same UAI board) and hear - you have no problem with voice chip.
May be you have no conversation during external calls (VoIP, SIP)?

There is no conversation on both internal and external calls.Its PSTN-ISDN(PRA)

I think - 2. I hope you have another UAI board - replace two board. You will understand - you have problem with place (slot) or board.
And I hope - you not use slot 5, 6, 7, 8 for UAI16.

Thanks for your replies.I finally got the lines working by synchronizing the System.

ithink you have missexplained your issue
when on external communication there is no audio between uai users and external parts through isdn, right ?
and it's Common HW wich can't run on 255 synch mode and should be synchronised :external clock and by domain synch mode )
