ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
Hello,
we got a BIG problem with the ipTouch 4028EE!
Our Phones connected on a OS6850 POE (lanpower on).
Everytime when we reboot the Switch (the IPPhones reboot because lanpower too) a few Phones restart with all LED´s on. Thats mean the Phone doesn´t work anymore.
Our Partner replace the Phones but nobody can give us an answer about the problem!!
Does anyone can help us?
thx

If they were replaced, what is the problem you have?

first problem: that we can´t assess how many telephones are dead after a reboot.
second problem is: Our colleagues can´t call !
third problem is: i want to know why that happens...

The reason can be not enough power, does it has a secondary power supply? I bet that if you unplug a few phones before doing the reset the others will come back normally.
How many off line? Do a termstat on PBX...

yes, all Switches got a redundant power supply.
I will build a test environment.
thx.

Re: ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
try to adjust the (poe) power (class) output of the switch ports. i had the same problem but with 4038ee units connected to FTTOs.
Re: ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
@ether: can you give me some explanation, how i adjust the power settings?
Re: ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
in my experience, we used this called FTTO from microsens. It has auto and manual adjustments of POE class. I'm trying to search for my docs regarding POE class requirement for these IP Phones.
Can't say if it is supported by your switches.

google for ALCATEL-LUCENT 8 series iPTouch Phones pdf and you will see Class of consumption (PoE) (Class 2).

Re: ipTouch 4028 after reboot--> not working
i´ve got news.
A specific series of IPPhones got this problems. Phones that have been built in the period from 2009 to 2011 are affected. We have over 120 Phones...
At the weekend, we´ll have to shut down 4 Switches (2x 6850 48POE, 2x 6850 24POE)
I don´t want too...
