Virtual Terminal Issue

Post by mopo »

Hi Guys,
I have a problem. We have a digital phone and a Z (analogue) ringer, we need them to both ring at the same time so we created a virtual terminal with the number and then that diverts to a hunt group which calls both the terminal's.

The problem is that the diverted terminals do not have extension numbers in our indial range so when you dial from the phone to an outside number it comes up on our mobile's as "Private Number".

Does anyone have any ideas on how i could organize this handset and ringer so they both ring but have the handset on a indial number (but not a different indial to the one you dial to call both the handset and the ringer).

sorry if this is confusing...

Cheers

To murraya - you say about tandem (twin set)? Both tandem set must be multi-line.
To mopo - not understand why you need virtual terminal (DID rules route call to virtual, fwd to HG) - delete virtual set and create hunt group with this number.
But in any case for outgoing calls you can do next:
- NPD - authorize personal calling number=true;
- user (digital and analog) - Use personal calling number=true, Private calling number=f.e. 1234567890 (Calling number - what you want to send)

Hi Vad, I think you missed that the system is OXO. no multiline limit on OXO's.

Thanks Guys,
I added the ringer as a secondary set and it works!

So i changed the phone to a extension which has a extension on the indial range but it is still blocked for outgoing calls. Any ideas why this might be happening?
I might try making the extension logically out of service then back in service to see if it resets.
