OMC V24 modem wont congigure in Win 7 Pro

Hi, have upgraded to Win 7 pro, and i have loaded the new OMC R800 20a, the OMC seems to work correctly but i cannot load and activate the Alcatel V24 modem any ideas would be appreciated

I manually install in Windows 7 "OmniPCX Direct V24" modem using two files "mdmalcat.inf" and "mdmalcat. PNF"

But "OmniPCX Direct V24" modem don't work via cheap USB-RS232 adapters and I'm using in my notebook "RS-232 ExpressCard PCI-e base Oxford OxPCIe952" from Shentek - http://www.shentek.com.tw/item?pro_key= ... EM&start=0

I have the same problem. I've tried to install the drivers Puno provided, but my Windows refused them, because the drivers aren't for 64-bit Systems. My new Laptop was preinstalled with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Pro. Is there any way to get the driver to work? Or is there a 64-bit driver available? I shouldn't have any problems with the RS232 since my Laptop has it integrated, I just need a working driver.

You can expect to have compatibility issues with 64bit systems. You can however use VmWare server on your laptop with a windows xp virtual machine for older applications.

You need wait next release of OMC 800/22.1b with corrections (see "Follow-up_OXO_032.001_maintenance_version.pdf"):

Thank you for the fast reply. I've already thought about using a VMWare after talking with a co-worker who had similar problems with the PCX Installer for the OXE. He installed in a VMWare with Windows XP and it worked fine. So I will try that approach until the new OMC is released.

Are there any other incompatibilities concerning the config-tools for the OXO with W7 64bit that I should be aware of?

The only config tool for the voice application I am aware of for OXO is OMC, so I guess, no other incompatibilities. If you mean applications, well: Pimphony, OLD tool, Omnivista server and/or client...
