IP-Touch stays in connected mode

Post by mozi »

Having two IP-Touch 4038. Both set stays in connected mode.
Reading the Data oft the sets with ippstat shows that the sets are not registrated.
Reading the MAC Adress in mgr/user/TSC IP Parameters shows only 00:00:00:00:00:00.
Trying to add the MAC Adress manually :no success

I already changed the timer 271 as described in TC0663:no success

I can't connect to the set via telnet

The Version of the sets are 1.29.02.

Is there a possibillity to connect to the set with a seriel console?
I read that the the connection oft the AOM is used for trace if no Module is connected:
TG0028 APPENDIX 3 ADD-ON MODULE:
AOM is detected during terminal initialization. If no AOM is detected, the UART used by AOM is
initialized for trace mode (115200 bits/s).
I used a standard v24 cable Rj45 -> subd9

I had this happen on quite a few phones before. The problem is the binaries version on the phone. The version is probably to old to boot on the system version you now have. The olution is to upgrade to an intermediate version and then go to the final system version you are working on.

Example: Phone has version that works on 6.0, boot it on a 6.0.1 system and then boot them on a 6.1.1. Each time it will load a succesive version.

The phones set to static mode.
Today I installed an Enterprise with R6.0 F16023i witch is the relase of the IPPhone binary 1.29.o2:
no sucess.
Then I connected one phone to a switch without any OXE. That means only one phone at the switch and no other equipment. To my suprise the phone shows the connected state too. It seems that I have to use the Alcatel repair service

Yes we did open a case with Alcate. Before I'll send the phones back to Alcatel, I'll wait for an answer and let you know.

We had the same problems on some sites.
There were several solutions.

On the first site the lanpbx.cfg file wasn't created. After creating this file with lanpbxbuild -auto the sets came into service.

On an other site we configured the OXE with a default gateway, but this gateway wasn't reachable. At that time the sets didn't come into service. As soon as the gateway was reachable, the sets came into service.

Perhaps this information can help you.

I've checked the lanpbx.cfg -> OK
the defaultgate way is reacheable.

Alcatel told us, to send the sets back.

this is not satisfied but anyway a solution

Hy Guys,
ich have the same problem with my old ip touch 4068. On my OXE 7.0 they stay in connected mode and no download starts. Look " downstat "
After this i put this sets on an OXO Rel.5 and fast as a shark the new version was downloaded on the set and now it works on my OXE.
