New 9 series (4039) handset freezing

Post by spot the ? »

Hello, Has anyone come across the new 4039 (9 series) handsets freezing. I've had odd occurancies of it mainly 4039's resetting the phone is the only to get it working again. I've had it happen on 6.2 OXE and 4.1 15.005 OXO.

I've checked the BPWS i cant find any TC's related to it.

Any feed back would be great.

thanks

If you find some UA sets that just quit ringing (incoming calls are only displayed): there are a couple of them around produced between late 2004 and end of 2006 that have some defective devices installed. They use to stop to activate the speaker to send the ringing tone after some months. Alcatel told me these setts are being repaired for free even if they are out of warranty period.

Is the issue not with the ringer but the actual phone freezing? If it is the phone freezing, then you need to upgrade your software. Also if you find this issue with 4019 sets as well, there is a specific binary fix for this. The 4019 sets freezing was because of the RoHS compliant laws passed over. This caused the lead free component to be removed, thus causing a binary issue and kept resetting the sets.
