Hi...I have a problem...I got new order for a commom hardware system at Location A. I applied for the the licenses and the hardware. but the client wanted to have system in working condition at the earliest.

Main requiremnet was linking to other alcatel sytem already installed some time back (Crystal Hardware) Location B with Rel 8.0 on IP trunk

So i installed the hardware with temprorary license 7.1 with Open license at location A

After some time i got the original license for location A with rel 8.0.

Now at location B when try to take the backup and restore the original OPS i get the below error

Do you agree the new software keys (y/n): y
ooo Reading string-file /DHS3bin/oneshot/mtcl/objects.US0 ...
ooo Reading string-file /DHS3bin/oneshot/mtcl/spadmin.dct ...
ooo Reading string-file /DHS3bin/oneshot/mtcl/err2lov.dct ...
Error : Bad value for package IP-Trunk number 1
*** INVALID NEW FILE software.mao : copy not done ***
ERROR: OPS files not copied.

i have deleted the IP trunk group from the database also...but still i cannot copy the original OPS on to the database.

Do anyone have any clue.

Help really appriciated.

Regards,

Sandeep

you may have a big problem here. Have you a copy of the db from before you added the IP trunk and the funny licence? IF so I would try stopping telephony, creating a new database then restore the db..reboot and then try adding your new OPS.

If you do not have the old database then you are in trouble as the system will not allow you to install a licence with less features than the one you have. IN this case you can use 4760i or 4760 to export as much of the db as you can. Then you will have to wipe everything create a new db update your OPS and then import what you can and manually configure the rest (hopefully you have dual CPU otherwise they are in for a lot of downtime). FUN.
