Hi,
i have a Problem with a QSIG-GF-Link between an Alcatel 4400 R5.0Ux (As QSIG-Master) an a Siemens DAKS-Server as QSIG-Slave (The DAKS-Server is for fire-alarm, fault-messages etc.)
The link is established with 2 T0-Links on a BRA2-Board.
And now something strange happens:
- I plug the daks-server on the link from the alcatel pbx
- the daks-server-trace says "Only Layer 1 is established"
- infocs-command on the alcatel says "Syncro"
- i can't dial from the daks-server to the alcatel
- i can't dial from the alcatel to the daks-server
BUT
- I disconnect the alcatel from the daks-server
- I plug my Aurora Sonata (ISDN-Testing-Equipment) to the daks-server
- the aurora simulats now the QSIG-Master
- The DAKS-Server-Trace now says that a layer 2 link is established
- I can dial from the daks-server to the aurora and from the aurora to the daks-server
- Now i disconnect the aurora from the DAKS-Server
- On the DAKS-Server starts a Layer 2 Timeout (20 Seconds i think)
- I have to plug the Alcatel within this timeout on the DAKS-Server
- Now everything works fine, i can dial from the alcatel to the daks-server and backwards, i have all the QSIG-GF Features and so on
The Siemens-Support says that the Alcatel doesn't provide an ISDN-Clock and because of this there is no Layer 2 Link established.
I've read the documentation of the Alcatel but i can't find anything about providing an ISDN-Clock on a QSIG-GF-Link.
Any ideas to provide this ISDN-Clock?
Thanks a lot
Robert

Re: Problem with QSIG-GF-Link
On T0 access, permanent level 2 is not mandatory. The user must activate level 2, after level3 and after can dial number.
But, in OXE configuration, in crystal/board/access configuration in my memory is not too bad, you can active option to have level 2 permanently (usefull for clock synchro).
Perhaps, it's a possibility to solve this problem

Re: Problem with QSIG-GF-Link
Thanks,
is this the right switch for permanent level 2 activation: mgr > shelf > board > Reserved2 = Yes ???
Or is this the false one?
thanks
