Transfer hunting group to analog answer phone.

Post by freakyfrog »

Hi There,

Was wondering if anyone has hit this scenario before and might be able to help me with it.

Im using an OXO with pm5 and have pretty good knowledge of its configuration but im a bit stumpped on this.

Basicly i have a hunting group "500" that rings on handsets "150-153", when an external call comes in what i would like to acheive is to have some sort of macro or key on the Premium phones that allows them to divert the group to an analog extension where there is an answer phone attached.

The main reason for using an external AP is because this system will handle multiple companies that will have their own AP's in different incoming groups.

I would also like to try and and avoid using night mode as the different companies will be working different hours..

Thanks in advance,
Dominic

I have been scanning the documentation on this for a bit now and i think this might be achieved using multi-sets, though limited to 3 handsets that would be enough.

And hopefully the divert activated on the primary handset would divert all calls for that multi-set.

Will try this tomorrow when im in the office and report my findings incase anyone else might find the info usefull.

Possible solution from R2.0

You can create a virtual mailbox for your hunt group "500". Any calls to the hunt group will ring until the timers in the dynamic routing route the calls to voicemail. The virtual mailbox is monitored via a VMU key programmed on one of the groups sets.

You can create as many virtual mboxes/hunt groups as required.
___________________________
Create a "Virtual Terminal" eg 200 with a mailbox and program immediate diversion to your hunt group "500"

Configure hunt group "500" Dynamic Routing parameters/timers to route to your vmail group.

Configure the public/restricted numbering plans and direct the company number the virtual terminal "200" and not the hunt group.

Program a "VMU" key assigned to the virtual terminal "200" on one of the groups sets eg "150"

Setup the virtual terminal mbox via the "VMU" key.
