when i check from system description, it is the asnwer from alcatel site
(i.e. if it occurs systematically when a particular type of"
"operation is performed),the problem is due to the software (faulty hotel"
"incompatible versions of software). Technical support should be informed.";

when i open the e-services request, technical support replied back to me the release of software is phase out and no more support from ALcatel.

my client complainted that some of the guest's information is not update when they check in or check out.
any idea ? please advise

thanks

Hi,

The CRC is bad.
2 possibilities. Or the Front Office generates a bad CRC or the OXE does not well calculates it on the reception and replys with NACK.
Trace the link and check your self who is wrong!

Best Regards
Sadim

Hello Friend,
I just had the same issue on OXE a R 7.1 It was connected to a PC com port 3, which was on a separate card in pc,Changed it to Com 1 1200 8 n 1 ,and the error messages stopped, I don't see a lot of logic but this has been my experience so far as I write this post. the PMS in use was Micros system OPERA.

Data base swap was complete with no errors.

HI jose,

your site is really OK after swapping the com port? You swap the com port 3 to 1 from PMS PC?

Hi, we also had errors on a oprea link and found that on the opera pc the PMS suppliers had moved to a "usb to serial" adaptor. They changed the link back to a real serial port on the pc and all okay now.
