We have a substantial amount of echo on our side??? Our carrier insists it is not on the PRI. I am unsure of what to try and tweak to eliminate. Anyone had these issues.

Echo is on what ? IP phones ? Analog phones ? Digital phones ? What echo are you talking about ? Do you hear yourself ? Does the party hear yourself ? The voice is repeated twice ? Be more descriptive !!!

I had the same issue using IP touch 4068 phones, what i did was to separate in 2 VLANS, assign priority 5 to tagged ports on VLAN 5 and issue was solved.
Never have heard of echo on a digital line unless your carrier uses VoIP somewhere but even so i doubt it

We are just using digital sets 4039s, and we have a digital PRI trunk. We do not hear echo on internal calls, only external. It does not matter whether we initiate the call or not. Only we can hear the echo of our own voice....it's like we're talking in to a tin can, it really sounds bad. It sounds like you're talking on a $2 toy phone. But it doesn't happen all the time, so I'm thinking it may be only on some of the channels on the PRI? Occassionally, we can hear crosstalk - not very often, and not very loud.
Another problem, it may be unrelated, is when an external caller leaves a message, the volume is very low....when we replay it on speakerphone, you can hardly hear it, even though the volume is set to max. But once you pick up the handset, it sounds ok. Sometimes this system seems really chincy and flaky, but it's not cheap - I don't get it!!

Can you check your cables? Is it a 75oHM or a 120oHm Pri? Is there a converter?

If when people leave you voicemail from outside is LOW , and not from INSIDE, then it's definitly the quality of your PRI line. Try to change the LINE TYPE (Shelf / Boards / Digital) Everytime you change those settings, I believe you have to restart the card. Try that first. One of my last customers, I had to change to Long Haul -7,5 because we could not hear shit on the line
