Infocentre (or Messages deposit dir no.) need clarification

Hi all,

Can anyone explain this feature to me. I've searched for infocentre on here and no-one has ever discussed it! Also, the docs say very little as follows:
Messages deposit directory number
After the Guest is informed on his station (LED or display) that a message has been received when he was absent, by dialing the right prefix or due to timed rerouting after going off-hook, he will be routed to this internal directory number (a maximum of 8 digits).
What my customer wants is;

On fidelio, they activate message (this bit works intermitantly :? ) But when it does work, the guest has a 4020 set and sees message waiting. We then want him to just dial '0' for attendant because right now he has to press mail key then 'OK' 'OK' 'OK' before call goes to operator, and then as soon as the call rings attendant light goes out! We want that he just dials '0' and the operator has to use fidelio to turn off message light. Is Possible?

TIA.. :D

OK, after a bit of further reading, I have learned that infocenter and Message deposit dir no. are 2 different things!

My problem on G1302.11.a is that the Message deposit dir no. only partially works...

Using hotmenu, I can send message to a room and the LED will flash. According to documentation, the guest just needs to off hook and after a timout (god knows which timer!) the set that is defined in the Message deposit dir no. field in HOTEL management will ring. Well on my system, when the guest off hooks... nothing happens.... just continuous dialling tone!

If you dial the "consult callback list" prefix, then it calls the set defined in "Message deposit dir no." no problem. Also, if you press "MAIL" key and OK OK OK (4020 set) then it too calls the Message deposit dir no. set.

Is this a bug in g1.302.11.a? I might open a ticket with ALU... :?
