ok fine my dear i dont mind i have been looking in the document, actually the structure of document not that good. comparing Cisco and avaya Docs which is give you over all how to administer Dail PLan , then ARS , fAC.

i have followed an Example in document to setup the trunking between the 2 system , and again it did not work.

could you direct me where in document show you how to setup dial plan for whole system . normally as telecom i need the following

-1 define extensions range
2- define group extenion range
3- feature codes
4- ars list
5- AAR range

im not intrested to know now the ARS server if i have multiple alcatel nodes, in simple i want to setup the PBX later on i want to go into details and features.

how i can trace the call made by the phone? and how i can capture the SIP log please? i have been stuggle looking into document since 1 week and no luck to make the trunk call the other side.

ok here the config below

OXE IP = 192.168.254.240
AVAya IP = 192.168.254.200

SIP Trunk 1 = OXE, Subnet work 1 = OXE
SIP Trunk 2 = Avaya , Subnetwork 2 = Avaya
OXE users Extensions 201, 203, 2xx range
Avaya Extensions range 5702 ,6101 , 6xxxx range

i have configured prefix plan for 57xx , 6xxx to be 2 subnetwork, trunk 2, 4 digits.

below the trace for call trial made from extension 201 on OXE to avaya extensions 6101 . please find attached SIP trace

You are receiving error 488, check the codecs on both sides.

Your problem is in the OXE config part, the trace show that the OXE send the INVITE to
the OXE itself and response 488.

Please post following config snips (copy/paste from mgr)

- content of routing no. 6xxx
- content of network routing table 2
- content of sip ext. gateway 2
